School Readiness
High quality school readiness programs for all California children is a major policy initiative for the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA). School readiness includes prekindergarten and the new transitional kindergarten established by the Kindergarten Readiness Act (Chapter 705 Statutes of 2010).
CCSESA continues to work closely with statewide partners on developing policy strategies and on disseminating prekindergarten research, data, funding information, and technical assistance resources. For additional resources on transitional kindergarten click here.
