Career Technical Education (CTE)
The Career Technical Education (CTE) Committee, a subcommittee of the Student Programs and Services Committee, serves in an advisory capacity to CCSESA as the county superintendents define their role in addressing the needs for a highly skilled, highly trained workforce. The committee is co-chaired by the Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee to promote CTE options for all students that include rigorous and challenging academic content and technical work behavior, knowledge and skills. A wide range of issues are addressed including policy, legislation, teacher credentialing, accountability, and funding and facility concerns as the committee makes recommendations to CCSESA regarding the role of county offices of education in workforce development.
